Free Request Submission
Customers may submit an item request at no charge. Submission does not require payment and does not obligate Losttloot to accept the request.
Review and Acceptance
Losttloot will review the requested item, preferred condition, approved maximum budget, and available sourcing options. If the request is accepted, Losttloot will confirm the sourcing fee before any paid search work begins.
Sourcing Fee Schedule
The sourcing fee is based on the customer’s approved maximum budget:

Losttloot may provide a custom quote for a full collection, unusually complex search, or request requiring extensive negotiation or verification.
What the Fee Covers
The fee compensates Losttloot for research, marketplace review, seller communication, negotiation, condition review, and sourcing work. It is separate from the item price, shipping, insurance, taxes, grading costs, customs charges, and other expenses.
Payment and Start of Search
Payment of the confirmed sourcing fee is required before Losttloot begins the search. The fee becomes nonrefundable once Losttloot begins the search.
No Guarantee of Availability
Payment of the sourcing fee does not guarantee that Losttloot will locate the item, that the item will remain available, or that it will be available within the approved budget. Rare collectible availability and seller pricing can change without notice.
Located Item Approval
Before purchasing a located item, the customer will be given available information regarding price, condition, photographs, and other important details. If the customer declines an item that meets the agreed request requirements, the sourcing fee remains nonrefundable.
When the Fee Is Refunded
If Losttloot declines the request or is unable to begin the search, any sourcing fee already collected will be refunded. Processing fees or timing may be handled according to the applicable payment provider’s rules.
Changes to the Request
If the customer materially changes the item, condition, or maximum budget after the request is accepted, Losttloot may revise the fee or treat the change as a new sourcing request before additional work begins.
